President Jokowi received a visit from Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Sri Wan Azizah at the Bogor Palace. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail expressed her sympathy and condolences for the earthquake that struck several regions in Indonesia. “I express my sympathy for the victims,” said Wan Aziah who wore the pink hijab.
President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno and Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi at the meeting. “Thank you for Malaysia’s assistance for the earthquake victims in Lombok and Central Sulawesi,” President Joko Widodo said at a meeting that took place in the office at the Bogor Palace on Tuesday (9/10).
This is not the first time that the first time that high officials from Malaysia visited President Jokowi. Previously Prime Minister Mahathir Muhammad met President Joko Widodo at Bogor Palace on June 29, 2018. Also, former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim who is the husband of Wan Azizah also met the President of Jokowipada on August 30, 2018 at the Bogor Palace.
